No, we are not speaking of wandering out to Hollywood and trying to find famous people, in fact that’s kind of sad, we should all be happy with who we are ourselves in life, no? No, in this case we are suggesting that you’re inner Captain Kirk is calling you to explore the cosmos, the stars and the universe, what a very cool place and make you think how small and insignificant we all are, right.
So, first obviously you can head out to whatever planetarium may or may not be in your neck of the woods, usually there’s some kind of light show or something like that which is narrated by Carl Sagan or Neil deGrasse Tyson – both of whom by the way do a great job of “playing the voice of the cosmos”.
Our other suggestion is to actually go out and search for stars, most scientific organizations needed help because, well, they’re never as well funded as they should be – so find your local astronomy lab at a college / university and see if you can help out.
The very worst case scenario, should all else fail and Elon Musk’s mission to Mars doesn’t quite make it off the ground in time, just go online and buy yourself a really great telescope, one of those electronic jammies where you can plug in the stars you want to see and then the telescope automatically tells you where to point it. Pretty cool.
Beam us all up Scottie.
