This one of course just sounds badass, plain and simple. Coming back from vacation and saying that you crossed the Bridge Of Immortals is going to put most other people to shame. The conversation at the office:
Co-Worker: How was your vacation? I went to Orlando with the kids, they really loved it.
You: “I CROSSED THE BIDGE OF IMMORTALS AND LIVED!!!!”
And yes, if you’re co-worker happens to be your boss, you might very well get a raise and a promotion.
All kidding aside, the Bridge of Immortals is in the Yellow Mountains in Eastern China. This is the area that has the amazing glacier carved landscape and wild jutting granite peaks. There are footpaths in the cliff walls, ringed by chains. While most images that tourists take is of them on the awesomely carved rock bridge (highest in the world), the true Bridge Of Immortals are five boulders that have collapsed between 2 cliff walls. Terrifying. Amazing. On the bucketlist.
