Buy a piece of great art. While this one might sound like one of those things for wealthy people to do, ie. where’s my Van Gogh, that’s not necessarily the case. By great art, well, obviously that’s up to you, anything can be justified since beauty in in the eye of the beholder. That whole collection of cat portraits on velvet, yep, could be considered “great art”. In this instance though, we were kind of thinking along the ideas of maybe print or lithograph by someone with a little name recognition – A Jasper Johns, Damien Hirst, Robert Rauschenberg, David Hockney, they are all available and well, yes, expensive, but not outrageously so. And of course think of this as an investment that you can always leave to your kids, grandkids.
